Tokaji Aszú Hetszolo 3 Puttonyos | Hungarian Dessert Wine

This wine is about fruits, freshness, and very good balance. On nose we find lots of tropical fruits and apricot with some raisin too. When we taste this wine we feel excellent acidity which balances well the high residual sugar. - Wine Maker's Notes

The 2004 Tokaji Aszu 3-Puttonyos is fermented in 50/50 new and used oak for 24 months and has 108 grams per liter residual sugar (which means it could technically be labelled as a 4-Puttonyos). It has a clean, fresh nose of tinned apricot, orange blossom and a touch of almond that is well-defined. The palate is well-balanced with clean, fresh apricot preserve and white peach. It is a very pretty wine that should age well over the next decade.
