DESCRIPTION

Matured in the traditional style in American bourbon barrels, this whisky is then ‘finished’ in sauternes casks, sourced from the bordeaux region of France.
During this second period of maturation, the whisky interacts with the oak wood and derives a number of additional interesting flavours and aromas.

Tasting Notes

Tasting Notes:

NOSE: Apricot jam and warm, peppery oak hold touches of crisp grape and mellow honeydew melon.
TASTE: Golden plums and nectarines toasted sesame seeds.
FINISH: Golden plums and nectarines balanced by contrasting waves of toasted oak and grape seed, followed by a delicate backnote of ground almonds and butterscotch.
