Giacomo Conterno - Barolo Cerretta 2016 | Italian Red Wine

Giacomo Conterno Barolo Ceretta was tasted as a barrel sample in May 2022, and was going to be bottled in the next month or so. Translucent medium-ruby with a slight garnet tone to the color, on the nose there is orange zest, orange pith and some very ripe red fruits and elegant spice notes. On the palate it is a combination of great concentration balanced by super-elegant and refined tannins which still manage to be very present and firm. The tannins are concentrated with a texture like compacted sand on the finish. The wine is so young and not revealing much today.
