Les Héritiers du Comte Lafon Mâcon Clos du Four is a biodynamic and ecological, barrel-aged white wine made by Les Héritiers du Comte Lafon in the AOC Mâcon (Burgundy) with the Chardonnay variety.

Dominique Lafon, a pioneer in biodynamic viticulture, is also a visionary in the production of quality wines in southern Burgundy. Until he arrived in 1999, Mâcon was known as a mass production area. However, Lafon's patience and passion meant he was able to classify the area’s different terroirs and extract the maximum qualities from each of them without damaging the environment.

Les Héritiers du Comte Lafon Mâcon Clos du Four comes from vines with an average age of 35 years old planted on a steady slope at 250 metres above sea level. These vines are planted in deep soil with clay and lots of limestone. They are cultivated according to biodynamic and ecological principles. The harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.

In the winery, the Les Héritiers du Comte Lafon Mâcon Clos du Four grapes are gently pressed and the resulting must ferments with native yeasts. It is then aged in large 600-litre wooden tanks (demimuids) on lees for 10 to 12 months before bottling.

Les Héritiers du Comte Lafon Mâcon Clos du Four is a flagship Chardonnay variety cuvée with the complexity and depth of a premier cru from the Mâcon area.
