DESCRIPTION

20 year old Tamdhu, independently bottled by Douglas Laing for the Old Particular range. Interestingly, this one was matured in a virgin oak casks - you'll often see Tamdhu aged in sherry casks, so it'll be neat to see what's going on underneath the sherry here.

NOSE:
Still surprisingly fruity for a virgin cask whisky - green apple and blueberries!

TASTE:
The fruit notes continue on the palate, but now supported by cut grass, oaky vanilla, basil and chocolate digestives.

FINISH:
Ground cinnamon, lemon and cedar.
