400 Conejos Espadín Tobalá is a premium mezcal from Oaxaca, Mexico, combining two distinct varieties of agave: Espadín (the most commonly cultivated agave for mezcal) and Tobalá (a wild, smaller agave prized for its intense and complex flavors). 400 Conejos, named after the ancient Zapotec belief that 400 rabbits were the gods of intoxication, honors centuries of mezcal tradition. The blend of Espadín and Tobalá brings a balance of earthiness and sweetness, with the Tobalá contributing rich, wild agave characteristics. Produced using traditional methods, this artisanal mezcal reflects the unique terroir and craftsmanship of Oaxacan mezcaleros.

Tasting Notes

NOSE:
The aroma is vibrant and fresh, with herbaceous notes of cooked agave, citrus zest, and green pepper. There are underlying hints of smoke, earth, and subtle floral notes that speak to the wild Tobalá influence.

TASTE:
On the palate, it's smooth yet robust, with flavors of roasted agave, tropical fruit (pineapple, banana), and earthy minerality.
