The Blagny La Piece Sous le Bois from Domaine Benjamin Leroux is made with Pinot Noir grapes, and has all the classic qualities of a good Pinot Noir. It has a dense, dark color, that reflects in the aromas and flavors. It has aromas of black fruit—strong, but not overpowering. On the palate, you get notes of ripe black fruit, dried cherry, raspberry, and hints of smoke. This is a nicely balanced red wine with a long, fine finish.
