Bodegas La Horra - Corimbo | Spanish Red Wine

Corimbo is a red wine from the D.O. Ribera del Duero made by Bodegas La Horra with the Tinto Fino variety (Tempranillo).

As experts of the Tempranillo variety, Bodegas La Horra studies the different soils in Spain to find the most suitable terroir to grow it in. This research led them to setting up their project in the La Horra area (Burgos). An area with a great winemaking history dating back to pre-Roman times, that gets the best out of the grapes and the soil. This is how a young winery that is still in the set-up phase has made such an impression on the national and international markets.

Corimbo is made with Tinta del País variety grapes, which are also known as Tempranillo, from the La Horra and Roa plots (Burgos). These are 25-year-old vines cultivated using organic viticulture and no irrigation. The harvest is carried out manually, separating out the berries on the selection table.

In the winery, Corimbo goes through spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. It then ages for a minimum of 12 months in French and American oak barrels. Finally, it is stabilised and clarified using natural methods.

Corimbo is a red wine that perfectly expresses everything about the Ribera del Duero, but with great finesse. For some reason it is the only Spanish wine that has featured on one of the best wine lists in Asia, in the exclusive hotel The Peninsula Shanghai.
