Chateau Guillebot Plaisance - Bordeaux Blanc | French White Wine

Château Guillebot Plaisance belongs to the Villenueve family since 6 generations now and is located in the village in Targon in the heart of the Entre-Deux-Mers".Due to the very typical climate of the region (located between the Dordogne and the Garonne river) the wines from the Guillebot Plaisance offer a great varietal of flavour.
Louis Jean Baptiste Jadot bought back the vineyard in 1913 from two sisters and decided to name it « Les demoiselles ». This vineyard had already belonged to his grand-father who had bought it in 1845.
The subsoil is extremely chalky with a lot of stones, perfectly drained and easy to overheat with south-south-eastern exposition.
Grapes are harvested by hand and put in small cases in order not to damage the fruits. Grapes are pressed softly, they ferment in oak barrels produced by our cooperage. 1/3 are new barrels. Aging usually lasts 15 months on fine lies before bottling.
