Domaine Arnaud Mortet - Gervey Chambertin 1er Cru Perrieres | French Red Wine

Arnaud has 0.35 hectares here, with vines which average 60 years in age. This is a wine which Arnaud feels has really progressed thanks to his vineyard work. The nose is very pretty, with red berries and chalky, stony notes. On the palate there is some mid-palate generosity courtesy of 20% whole-bunch, which also adds a touch of pleasing powdery tannin, enhancing the vineyard’s natural stony character. The new oak (60%) adds some sweet spice to the creamy, chalky finish. Drink 2024-2032.
