DESCRIPTION

While Douglas Laing is well-known for making blended malts focussed on one single whisky producing region of Scotland (Big Peat with Islay, Scallywag with Speyside, etc.), its Double Barrel series widens its view by looking at two of them. This particular edition is made with whisky from Islay, as well as whisky from the Highlands, and it makes for a marvellous expression blending smoke, spice, and waves of malty deliciousness.

Oatcakes, sugary caramel, a hint of charred oak, and salted nuts.

TASTE:
Lemon peels, cornflakes, melted butter on crumpets, a hint of earthy peat.
