DESCRIPTION

Malleolus de Valderramiro is a wonderful wine produced in the Ribera del Duero by the Emilio Moro winery.

This is a varietal Tinto Fino grape which comes from an old vineyard by the winery. Pago de Valderramiro is the oldest vineyard of the winery, planted on clay soil with some limestone areas. There are powerful, complex aromas thanks to the clay, and elegance thanks to the limestone. Malleolus de Valderramiro is macerated for 26 days in tanks of 3,000 Kg. Malolactic fermentation occurs in American oak barrels. It is aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels. Malleolus de Valderramiro is a wine that seeks to express the most of the character of the land.

Tasting Notes

Tasting Notes:

Dark ruby color. Aromas of dark fruits and smoke meets just as the glass is raised. Complex aroma of leather, licorice, blackberries, dark cherries, dried plums, vanilla and exotic spices. Dense and full bodied. A well balanced wine. Very long lasting aftertaste.
