Haart - Piesporter - Riesling | German White Wine

This is the Haart Piesporter Riesling wine, produced by Weingut Reinhold.

The winery is located in the municipality of Pomerania (area Terrassenmosel) in the German Moselle wine region.

The vineyards comprise three hectares of vineyards in the individual locations Goldberg, Sonnenuhr and Zeisel. They are planted with 100% Riesling, a large part of them still with vines with true roots.

The vinification is traditional and conservative. Behind the motto "Wine as grown" is a natural, quality-oriented cultivation of the vineyards, must extraction on a wine press from 1904, fermentation exclusively spontaneously with natural yeasts, no fining, no deacidification and predominant ageing in the typical Moselle oak bud cask.

The labels show (in Mosel-Franconian) the name of the vineyard from which the wine comes. The number of "foxes" under the name gives information about the quality level. With few exceptions, the wines are marketed as quality wines.
