This has such effortless class; it possesses the sleekness and confidence of a Grand Vin. Initially one is drawn to the sumptuous aromas of pure, vivid crème de mûre and bilberry. With aeration, tiny cranberry notes emerge as does a floral quality and the presence of minerals. The palate abounds with beautifully well delineated flavours of cassis, ripe tayberries and violets and matches sweetness of fruit with serious mineral undertones. The tannins, as one would expect are lustrous and barely evident, but they are most certainly present and help to focus the palate to a clear velvet textured crème de cassis finish. Exquisite.
