DESCRIPTION

A Cognac from the House of Léopold Gourmel, matured in un-toasted French oak casks for two decades. Impressive stuff from the distillers, who are also known for not using chemicals or pesticides when growing the grapes.

Tasting Notes

Tasting Notes:

NOSE:
Rich rancio, old leather, cask spices and thick honey notes.

TASTE:
Well spiced (thing ginger and black pepper), with herbaceous notes of coriander and clove creeping in. Sweet caramels stop the spice from going overboard.

FINISH:
Creamy butterscotch lasts.
