DESCRIPTION

Los Vecinos del Campo's Espadín mezcal is crafted in the rugged terrain of Oaxaca, where agave cultivation and mezcal production have thrived for centuries. Made from 100% Espadín agave, harvested at maturity, this mezcal reflects the dedication of local farmers and the expertise of master mezcaleros. The hearts of the agave plants, or piñas, are roasted in earthen pit ovens, then crushed and naturally fermented before undergoing double distillation in copper alembic stills. The result is a mezcal that embodies the spirit of its terroir, with layers of flavor that unfold with each sip.

COLOR:
Clear and luminous, with a faint straw hue that glimmers in the light.

NOSE:
Aromas of roasted agave, smoky wood, and earthy minerals greet the senses, accompanied by hints of citrus zest and wild herbs.

TASTE:
On the palate, flavors of grilled pineapple, roasted pepper, and caramelized sugar dance alongside notes of mesquite smoke and volcanic ash. The mouthfeel is smooth and velvety, with a touch of sweetness balanced by a subtle peppery kick.

FINISH:
The finish is long and lingering, with echoes of roasted agave and smoky oak that fade into a warm, satisfying embrace.
