Marqués del Real Tesoro - Amontillado Del Principe Sherry | Spanish Fortified Wine

Mid to deep amber, chestnut, legs. Classic Amontillado, gentle, elegant, fairly light, complex and attractive with a certain glyceric sweetness - and yet there's a dry element there too - and lots of hazelnut. It is restrained, refined with traces of straw, dry scrub and turron de yema tostada. Again fairly light and very elegant, fresh and clean. More straw and hazelnut notes with that gentle implied sweetness. There are traces of its Fino past in the form of a very slightly saline autolysis balancing well with the oxidative character. On the finish it is long, dry and very satisfying.
