Tasting Notes
NOSE:
A complex bouquet featuring old leather, coal smoke, malt loaf with black plum jam, aged wood resin, tobacco leaf, minty eucalyptus, blackcurrant cordial, and coffee grounds.
TASTE:
Malty and savory with nuances of old leather, coal tar smoke, wax candles, sultana butter, nut shells, dark mint, blackcurrant, herbal notes, copper, and aged wood. The texture is thick and oily, reminiscent of beef consommé, with hints of smoke and mocha emerging later.
FINISH:
Prolonged and dry, presenting stewed black fruits, aromatic wooden tea chests, nut brittle, traditional toffee, menthol, eucalyptus, aged sherry wood, coal fire smoke, and a savory dryness akin to old leather and cured meats.
