The 2017 Kloof Street Rouge has a soft, red-fruited nose with structured, softly complex aromas of spice and minerality. The palate is light with a firm structure and red fruit grip. Medium-bodied, the soft cherry and dark plum notes drive the palate with soft red spices, hints of lavender and violets, finishing with a firm tannic grip. This is ready for food. A correct and simple yet complex wine selling at this price Is rarely found. I believe that this wine is underpriced for the quality that it delivers.
