Paul John in Goa has created a pair of Indian single malt whiskies finished in different types of sherry casks for its Select Cask series. This particular edition was allowed a finishing period in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, imparting some big, bold, lip-smacking notes of chocolate, dried fruit and coffee.

NOSE: Marmalade on toast, mocha, stewed plums and a kick of peppercorn.
TASTE: Espresso, raisins, sultanas, apricot, chocolate mousse and perhaps a touch of mint chocolate too.
FINISH: Lasting festive spices and chocolate peanuts.
