DESCRIPTION

Poggio Anticos Riserva from the sun-drenched and very well-balanced is not initially dense, firm and closed like previous vintages. Rather, it captivates with its elegance, finesse and richness shortly after opening. Wonderful layers of wild berries, almonds, plums, herbs and cassis. Then very complex on the palate with a textbook fruit composition and a fine spicy nerve that adds tension and complements the wonderfully chirped arc of tannin, acidity and warm melting.

Tasting Notes:

Aromas of truffle, mocha, new leather and camphor mingle with a whiff of oak-driven spice. Combining structure and elegance, the full-bodied, savory palate delivers black cherry, blackberry, licorice and espresso framed in firm, fine-grained tannins.
