St Hallett - Old Block - Shiraz | Australian Red Wine

St Hallett Old Block is exclusive in its fruit selection, utilising vines planted on their own rootstock that are more than 40 years old. The Barossa and Eden Valley selection varies from 80 to 130 years old, including the original Old Block Vineyard – planted in 1912. After vinification the wine is matured in one, two and three-year-old French oak barrels for 16 to 18 months, followed by a further 12 months in stainless steel. In recent years the wine has become a refined style, evoking the generosity, richness and supple complexity of heritage fruit.
