Tyrrell's - Vat 8 - Shiraz & Cabernet - 2017 | Australian Red Wine

Our Vat 8 Shiraz Cabernet is sourced from Shiraz grown on our Ashmans property and Cabernet Sauvignon grown on the Pokolbin Hills Estate. The 2018 vintage in the Hunter Valley was simply spectacular for reds. Warm, dry conditions meant that cropping levels were reduced, helping to produce wines of great concentration and length of flavor. After fermentation in stainless-steel vats, both parcels were matured separately before blending. The blended wine, an amalgam of 90% Shiraz and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, then finished its maturation in French-oak barriques.
