Warwick - The First Lady - Sauvignon Blanc | South African White Wine

The First Lady range of wines are a tribute to Norma Ratclife. The founder and first winemaker at Warwick estate and of the first women to make wine in South Africa. The First Lady Sauvignon Blanc is the latest edition to the first lady range. Currently in its third vintage it has established itself very quickly as one of the most popular wine on the estate. The Grapes are picked in the early hours of the morning and transported to the cellar. De-stemmed and crush to strainers for skin contact between 2 and 12 hours depending on the acidity levels. After pressing, the juice is transferred to stainless steel tanks for fermentation at cold temperatures to promote aromatics. After fermentation the wine is kept on the lees for a short period of time to retain the beautiful aromatics, blended and bottled early August.
