DESCRIPTION

In 2016, West Cork Distillers produced a trio of 12 year old Irish whiskeys initially matured in bourbon casks before being finished in a selection of casks. This expression was allowed a finishing period in Port casks, resulting in juicy fruit notes all the way through.

Love this whiskey. Just gets better with age. Blueberries on the nose. A great sipper then a longer finish then most other West Cork malts.

From an avid bourbon and Tennessee whiskey drinker, who enjoys a single malt from time to time, I love this whiskey. I grabbed one, along with a bottle of Sherry Cask Finish, while passing through Dublin. I had no idea what I was getting into. Neat with a friend, it went way too fast. Prost!
