DESCRIPTION

Alexandrine Roy is a name to watch out for. She is the fourth generation Roy to head the estate, taking over from her father, the eponymous Marc Roy. The estate itself was founded by her great-grandfather, with just a few parcels of vines in Gevrey-Chambertin in Burgundy.

The Marc Roy Gevrey-Chambertin Village Vieilles Vignes is made with 100% Pinot Noir grapes from Burgundy, France. They’re picked from roughly 80-year-old vines, and is counted among the top one percent of wines in the world, scoring 91 on James Suckling. Fresh, bright, and refined, it has an ABV of 13.5%. It is powerful on the nose, with strong notes of red berries and earthy hints. On the palate, it is lively and weighty, with a delicious minerality.
