Starward Solera is an Australian single malt whisky aged using the traditional solera method, a process commonly associated with sherry production. The whisky is matured in a combination of ex-Apera barrels (an Australian fortified wine similar to sherry), resulting in a rich, complex, and slightly sweet character. Solera highlights the unique climate of Melbourne, where rapid changes in temperature help the whisky develop deep, bold flavors over a relatively short aging period. NOSE:
